Oh Jurgen.......what's the Flemish word for "D'oh?" (I bet it has ten too many consonants.) For those who do not know, Ol Jurgey--like a whole lot of other folks--passed on Moken x Scarab animals even after I tried my best to explain the potential in the neos. He could have had Barro for very, very little and I think it still bugs him a bit......

Carlos, Barro was a maroon. The two blazes went to my friends, Eddie NTP Aste and Tim "Shredder" Morris in trades. Here's a shot of Barro at one year old:


Keith, welcome back and good to see you here. Yes, most of the adults are in Vision cages. I don't much care for how they look but they are quite functional and look brand new even though they are way over ten years old. I ground out the heat shrouds a year or so ago and put in 65 watt panels. I don't know why I waited so long either. I gave up on substrate (large chunk orchid bark) and now use brown butcher paper. The perches are fixed (not removable) and have a couple coats of oil based polyurethane on them (I like minwax). I use some plastic plants for cover that I think is pretty important even though many have kept Chondros without cover for years.

I picked up a Habitat Systems combo unit that is far superior to anything I used before. I am still tinkering with it but they are in use right now. Here's link to the initial set up: linky
