WOW, she gets it. I was proud. Of her, and a little of myself, but more of her. We've never even had that discussion and she knew I how important the husbandry part of chondros is to me. It's amazing how many times I see on forums where people want their first (or another) chondro, then ask about caging because they don't have the money to buy all the accessories, then you see the inevitable comment, "save your money and buy...blah blah blah.... and then buy the chondro. And you know they don't listen.
I still swear that chondros bad rep about being hard to care for comes by and large from the fact that people don't take the time or spend the money for the right husbandry. Honestly, once they are set up, they are no harder than anything else to care for. They may be more fragile if you forget about them or don't observe them enough, and they have some problems you never have an answer for, but overall, they aren't that bad.
