"SUPER SALE"$350
Hi everyone,
I've decided to go a different way in caging and putting this unit up for sale.It is a modified arboreal enclosed style rack unit.It originally was designed as a closed rack unit with a hinged door.It had Rubbermaid Poly tubs as the animal enclosures. The door then cloed and secured all 4 compartments. It is internally heated with heat tape built into the panels.Light comes from behind from (2) 4' strip lights.
The problem with this design is that it kept the tubs too hot and humid and didn't allow addequete ventillation.
So I decided too better the product and ditch the tubs and door and make every compartment indepedent.I installed vents in each compartment and added 1/8th inch sliding glass.I used the plastic track from outwater.com.Every visible hole that was present from the previous setup was covered with plastic white molding.I added PVC perches and riveted plastic closet rod mounts to mount the perches too.So what you have is a 4 unit chondro unit that is all independent.I was eventually going too disconnect the heat tape and install heat panels in each compartment. The setup as is stays in the 85 degree range very well with the help from a Ranco thermostat(not included in the purchase). It contains humidity well also.
The unit looks very professional and clean. Not a hack job.The only flaw is that it is used and I use newspaper as substrate. The ink from the newspaper has stained some of the PVC,but can be easily cleaned with some elbow grease. You cannot use any other substrate other than newspaper, because there is no lip on the bottom of each compartment to retain substrate.Other than the track itself. You can easily add a lip with some PVC if you choose. It was not a concern for me for I only use newspaper as a substrate. The unit measures 74" H X 22"D X 28"W.Each compartment measures 18"H X 15"D X 26"W.Plenty of room for a smaller species adult GTP.The perches are 3/4" pipe. The mounts will accept 1" if you want to add thicker perches.
You will get everything you see excluding the thermostat and chondros.Sorry for the poor pics.If you require additional pictures let me know what you would like too see and I will be more than happy to get them for you. This unit CANNOT BE SHIPPED and is for local pickup in the Chicagoland area only.I will be willing to drive a resonable distance to meet somewhere.I'm asking $350.Although,I didn't pay full price. This unit originally went for $1600.My phone is 630-306-3585 if you have any questions about anything.
