Hi everyone, its my first time breeding chondros here in the Philippines......
Some info on the pair.....
Dam, WC blue highland female
Sire, Rico Walder - (MB X Carolina) X PNG
There were a total of almost a dozen copulations observed. With the last copulation observed on Dec. 13. The female has already developed good follicles at the
event of last copulation. She ovulated on Dec. 23, and had her post-ovulation shed (POS) on Jan. 17. A clutch of 29 fertile eggs and 1 slug was produced on Feb
3. Since I was away for vacation, I was not able to put a nestbox.....she laid everything on the cage floor, and luckily I took out the water bowl before I
left. Actually, I was not in town when she laid eggs, but the people at home understands egg management quite well, and the entire clutch was set up properly.
After candling the entire clutch, majority of the eggs are showing good vein structure with maybe 4 questionable ones.
Here is a picture of the female a of Feb 1, full of eggs and very uncomfortable in mid-day.

Here she is two days later, Feb 3, with all eggs on the cage floor
Here are all the eggs set up in the eggboxes.
Here is one egg box after 24 hours of incubation with the eggs rehydrated and filled out.
I would like to thank the entire forum as it has served as a great teacher in preparation for the event. And of course to Rico, who sent me such a wonderful
stud.
Wish me luck,
Arnold
