My vision rack hold humidity extremely well.I mist twice a day and never had a shedding problem.I'm using Rubbermaid 64 quart unaltered bins.They fit very snug in the rack with very little clearance between the bin and the shelf.
Here a few things to look at:

First:Is there more than a snug fit between the shelf and bin.What I'm trying to get at,is there a good sized gap between the top of tub and the shelf because you will lose alot of humidity that way.

Second id you modify the bins for ventillation either by drilling holes or something else.You will decrease your humidity drastically if you did so.My bins have no holes in them at all.They are completely un-altered.

Another thing I forgot to mention is how much of the heat cable are you using.If you have to much it will dry your cages out quicker.If your room gets cooler you may have to use alot more to keep up the temps.This could be a possible cause to your problem.I only have one loop on the back side and it keeps the cage 82-85.That cable really gets hot.Make sure that if you do modify the shelves not to cover the heat cable or it will over heat.

On the other hand,this type of rack may not be suitable for your environment.Due to your humidity level or room temps and open construction of the rack.You may want to try and get a room humidifier to help with the humidity.I would personally try and go a different way if you keep having these problems.I woulden't modify the rack to much.
