Chondro data. Female I have since a neo, arrived to me in 10/2004 has eaten 404 prey items to date. A little under 50 items per year.

50 prey items a year? Wow. My snakes are beyond jealous...especially the ones that are of the 8-12 prey items a year variety.

Nice to have all that info! Damon, or anyone else, how do you like the degei software? I've been looking into it and considering setting it up. is the "free" version good, or is it only worth it for the paid version?

mine eat about that too Kyle. Maybe a bit more if they are babies but not much. I keep track of all mine on Iherp. Love it!

Any idea if this will work on a MacBook or Win7 64 bit yet? It is a great program but if you don't back up on a flash drive you can loose all your data, I lost 7 months worth for 28 snakes because I failed to back the data up properly.

The standard version is free. The only paid version currently is the Pro version with the barcode scanning.

As for the 50 items, this is a large female, so she generally gets 2 items per feeding, but you do have me curious now. I will go look at frequency. -d

Adam: Yes, runs fine on Win7 all versions.

Ok, so you folks got me thinking and I crunched some more data, then scared myself... lol. This is from my personal database in Degei through all time of my collection. Yikes!
The jpg below is just a summary, but these 2 pdf's are little more interesting.
First, one just on the animal I originally posted about, showing feeding attempts per year, with total prey consumed and average number of prey items per feeding.

Thanks Damon. I DL'ed it last night. I like it. Gotta spend a few hours to get some data in it, carpet species and morphs, etc. Is the only difference in the pro the barcode scanning?

Dave, yes. Pro version gets you scanning, phone support/training, personal attention and customization.
