what setting are you shooting on in the 2nd pic? i have a kid thats heading down a similar path but my skills havent reached yours yet

Mike, I am using a mix of 5000 k and 6500 k CFL's from depot and lowes.
The cam is set to Apeture priority mode and I cut the exposure comp back to about -.3.
