Here are a couple of pics from this years clutch. They are getting ready to shed any time and feeding trials will start a few weeks after that. These pics
were taken the day after they hatched.

Do you really wait a few weeks after their first shed to get a meal in them? That seems very long. I know it has been discussed at length, but a lot are now
getting meals in them before that first shed. Give it a try, you might be surprised at how quickly they all eat.

Judging by their behavior (snappy) I have no doubt they would eat right a away if given the chance. The babies all had huge yolks so waiting a week or two
will not hurt anything. I think a little extra time will help give the muscles a chance to develop before the strain of feeding begins. Besides with time they
only get more hungry!

Marcial I really hate to say it but they are crosses (not my intention when the season began). I tried for 4 months to get my male biak to breed the female
and he hid under the paper most of the time. The female started showing signs she was going to do something and I was affraid she would lay slugs. So after
waiting as long as I could for the Biak male to do anything I put my Wamena male in with her and they bred one time and she ovulated two days later. I figured
she would not go if the male was not breeding her but she really started acting like she was going to go regardless. Against my own feelings on the subject I
thought fertile eggs were better than slugs. If I had ever even seen the male Biak on the same perch as her I would have let it ride but he never went near
her. I really wish I could say they were pure Biaks but I cannot.

Marcial of all the guys to ask me that question I just knew it would be you and thanks for going easy on me. I had debated over having someone else sell the
babies but if the customer wanted parent pics my wamena male would have given me away. So I thought I would just say what I did and take the lumps and just
keep moving. No one is more disappointed than me. After looking so hard for the male Biak I ended up with to breed to my female I was sad when he did not do
the job. All will be right in the world as I do not plan on making this type of breeding a habit. Here are pics of the adults.

I must say I am amazed that Marcial has been so easy on me. I guess I should worry about what he is saying when I am not around. This is a hard one for me as
I am not sad that I have baby GTPs as like all of you they are my favs. At the same time if I had not thought the female was going to go with or without a male
than I would not have made these babies. I like my GTPs just how they look in the locals all around their range. Needless to say I highly doubt I will be
holding any back but from what I have seen from some wameniaks these guys should be great snakes for those who are into that sort of thing.

coming... I knew it was only a matter of time before you discovered the error in your ways and saw the light. I hope these guys turn out to be killer so they
get posted all the time... hell, I might have to buy one. Let me know what you are asking for them, as I probably couldn't offer an acceptable trade...LOL.
