This was the first experience I've had breeding, and I think it turned out pretty successful.
Mom, Danu, a Coastal, laid 20 good eggs for me. They all hatched but unfortunately it looks like my number's at 18 for alive babies at this point. (Unless
the two that escaped did not get eaten by the dog, and are instead hiding someplace...)
Here's a not very good, but recent, picture of Danu:
And here's the studly Taliesin. He's 25% Diamond, 75% Coastal. His sire's a tiger jag, so that may explain why I got some stripes in the clutch..
And now for the babies!
This striped sibling would have never made it out of the egg if I didn't help. He had pipped but wasn't coming out, a few days later I found him half
out and looking almost dead. Luckily he seems to have gotten a bit better since then, though he is much smaller than everyone else and not very active.
The guy on my right is probably my favorite so far.. It's pretty cool looking and it's got some attitude... was trying to eat me.
And here's that striped sibling with part of the striped jag (shown above as well)
Thanks for looking! ![]()
