have a baby nabire green tree python female she is a couple of months old she is in a lil tub and has a heat pad at the bottom .she at 86 -88 during the day with 70-80 humidity and night around 82-83 and 85-95 humidty . she has shedded once for and she its great but for the past few weeks she has been refusing any ides mayb she wants bigger prey now i have her on small pinks and she has grown alil in girth. her tup consist of a small 7 qt tub with paper towel at the bottom and too perches made out of plastic clothes hanger.i have tried boiling the pink in chicken broth and scenting it with tuna fish still not interested at night she just moves all around exploring her enclosure does any1 have any ideas ??

Have you considered putting a fake plant, or even a real one, in the cage with it? Im assuming its in a clear tub? Maybe it just needs some security.

Like Kim already asked, was she feeding well before going on a fast? How many preys did she accept before that? You feeding frozen and thawed prey or live? Did u change anything in her set up? From my experience, albeit small, they seem to like some change now and then, but we never know... some may be more sensitive in that area. My "GraveDigger" went on a month fast between December and January, with 4 and half months, then resumed feeding, with a vengeance, but got hooked up on ratz...

still using the chick down but i have ran out . i have tried other methods but still nothing. i have added my plants it likes a rainforest in there . an yes

Can you post pics of the animal and set up.
You state it is a female and is only a couple of months old??? Who sexed a two month old baby?????? You state it is a Nabire and is CB, who did you buy it from what proof did you get it is CB? Some thoughts are that you animal is WC or FB, it could be off feed due to a mild to heavy parasite load. Some other thoughts are that you might have been feeding a little heavy and the animal is taking a break. They will do that at times. Is the animal maintaining its condition or shedding weight???? We would like to help man but we need all the facts to do so! |

i saw where you said chick down doesnt work but you also said it took scented items several times and now you are out. if you need chick down i have plenty and

yea she used to eat like a monster along as i scented it with chick down. but the first few times she refused i was scented. but i guess it worth a shot if you
