I occasionally have to take a break from the neo's or I'll be squishing A LOT of head's. ;-)
My cages are the HDPE.

Hey Casey,

So the HDPE don't come completely preassembled then?

My order was with the HDPE. I like the material. I did seal all of my units. I like the HDPE cages. It is not perfect, but not many things are. I just wish things were handled better with my order. There is a lot I haven't
written. I just started the post to see if I was the only one having problems with this company. Obviously, I am not.

Jim Scharporn @ PVC Cages came through within three weeks with a dozen or so cages and stands fully asssembled that was 2 years ago.
No problems with them and they look really nice. |

Jeff Godbold wrote: Haha...no kidding! I'll be honest Marcial, I haven't stopped looking at the Pro-Lines since the last thread you plugged their products. You peaked my interest then, and your latest posting isn't helping matters! You gotta stop man! I've got enough $$$ tied up in cages already! I hear they're easy to clean.... |

We all have our preferences. Like most, I've owned many, many different kinds (too many). There is even a pretty big difference between racks and cages
within the same manufacturer.
I only buy Jims cages now, from a cost/quality standpoint, I can't justify any others. You have to take your time putting them together, but they look as good and hold humidity as well as anything I've ever used. As far as racks go, I've bought from 3 different companies in the last year. I will only buy from AP from now on. I've never put my hands on a rack from HS, but I just don't see how they can be that much better than AP, especially considering the cost. They go together seamlessly, every screw countersunk ahead of time, all grooves fit tight and it's 1/2 inch material that is solid as hell. They now offer both heat cable and flexwatt if that was an issue. I use heat cable and really like it, the pre-cut T-groove that it slips into keeps it exactly in place. I've had everything from homemade melamine racks, Jim's at PVC cages, the new Vision racks, and AP. The AP racks are rock solid. I still have Vision cages that I've used for 11 years. That speaks for their longevity, but the fact that they still use basically the same design baffles me. Their are so many little quirks with their cages that make them a little difficult to use I can't believe they haven't changed them. It has always seemed like they were always a hair away from being great. I won't buy them in the future, they don't hold heat or humidity at all for me, but I will always love the ability to pick up a one piece molded 4ft x 2ft cage and just easily carry it to the other side of the room
