I'm not sure that there is really a point to one.. if anything needs to be filtered it is probably the water that we give them.

If anything, a small fan to circulate the air should be more than adequate.

thanks for the replys, I have 2 small fans on each side of the room, and filtered water, just wondered if I could do even more for them especially since
I've had one get sick on me and myself or the vet can't seem to find out how it happened.

I've always wanted to set up enclosures with an air flush. One way to do this would be with the aquarium air pumps. The pumps could be located in an area
of fresh air. The hose runs into the enclosure.
Something about reptiles is we generally end up thinking there is no odor because we're use to it. Stagnant air can't be very good for the animals if a room has no ventilation. Open windows or fans moving in fresh air is probably better than cleaning exisiting air without circulation. Another factor that we don't think about very often is oxygen %. The rain forest probably has quite a bit more oxygen than our enclosures.

Hello. I'm new here, but not new to reptiles. The Chondro bug has bitten me hard. Bought a Chondro a couple of months back. As a matter of fact, I have an
aquarium air pump circulating fresh air into my Chondro's water bowl through an air stone. Helps to keep the humidity up, keep the water fresh, and now
that you mention it provides the cage with fresh air. I'm in Austin TX. Really interested in meeting some of the first class Chondro people in my area.
