When Marc and I were sitting down, picking out animals, there were 11 red and 3 yellow. There was one yellow one in particular that I wanted, really really badly. It was a super neon yellow, just brighter than everyone else. We got down to the last 4 animals, and there was one red one and three yellows. Of course red is red, and everyone scarfs those down first, and I figured that Marc would choose the red one, then I'd have first pick of the yellows.
I was wrong. Marc picked a yellow, and it was not the yellow one that I had my eye on. So I was like, oh crap, I have a choice between the last red one, and this yellow one that I want. Panic time.
I kept looking at the red one (which looked like a red I already had) and said, you know what, screw it. I really want this yellow baby, and I'm not going to let the chance go. So I picked the yellow over the red (I know, criminal from a financial standpoint, but there was just something about this yellow baby that transcended money, I almost lost him in the last round), and was thrilled the moment I picked it.
This baby was born what, maybe a month and a half ago? Two months tops? Sheesh.
