I will add that i had a blast hangin with speedy. Yes he is wild but that same energy flows deep within my veins. Speedy's is just on the outside. Sometimes its cool to not give a %+#% and be real. No PCness in that man. I gave my number to speedy at the party never expecting to hear from him and a day or too later he call just to see if we had a safe trip home and to ask how my animals were doing. I think I have made myself a friend. In the words of JB I can only advise him to continue to do one thing. that is to ROCK ON!!!

ps. I did have to tell him that horse play was cool but lets just not do it around the hot grill.

I will take him anyway he is at the moment. The biggest thing I admire about Speedy is that he truly puts his animals before himself. His animals probably eat better and live better than he does. Not only that but he would give you his shirt off his back. He actually got legitimately pissed at me when I bought a Kenyan Sand Boa because he breeds them and will give them to me for free. I thought he was going to punch in the face over this. He is an extremely generous individual.

We are pretty like minded with animals, we would rather trade critters than sell them for money.

Lets not forget, no one, no one can keep you more entertained at 2am than Speedy.

Last year at MARS Speedy had babies for sale. I kept looking at them and admiring them, but simply could not buy one. Well, Speedy ended up choosing one for me, named him Porkchop and told me to consider it a trade. When I finally get a clutch of Chondros, he could have one of mine. Now we all know how unsuccessful I have been with that, but he is totally cool with it. I'm hoping to be able to make that trade happen this year.

i met speedy for the first time at Shane's ....so what i saw is what i got .....seems like an awesome dude, and he and I would've been fine had mr. August decided to not to try and set me up by teling speedy I called him a homo LOL

thanks Pauly, then I went on to mention names mr Speedy didnt want to hear and got dry humped but not as much as Paul.....but then again it wasnt my B-day

lol, I meant no ill will towards Speedy at all and I agree he is a great guy that would give you the shirt off his back if you asked.
But at the same time the pink unicorn side of Speedy is sexy too!

Yeah I'm roughly an hour and a half from there. Unfortunately, I can't make it though. I'll be returning late from a businesss trip that evening. Everytime they hold these gatherings I've always got something else in the works.

I really want to make it sometime soon though just to meet everyone. I've been keeping boas/pythons for the past two decades but am only two years into keeping Chondros. The wealth of info I've gained from all the wonderful folks on this site is priceless.

That includes you Sony.

I consider speedy my best friend. I help with rodents and feeding. I was at a wedding and could not attend shanes, however I'm with John and Kim. Speed would help a perfect stranger with the last 2 bucks he had, well, if he had it. Not only that but if anyone knew the care he took of his animals, before himself, you would be shocked. Speedy buys insulin and rodent chow, thats it! The guys crazy, he was born in the wrong century, he shoulda been a viking. Enjoy the loudness and the occasional offensiveness, hes a rare individual in a homogenized world. I also love his pinkness and being humped, I'm bringing him to your abode Stephens. be warned

Hey Greg - real nice of ya to host this get together. I'm sure everyone will be most impressed with your critters and facility (especially those that haven't been before...). If I could via this post - I'd like to make my reservation. In addition, may I suggest that, instead of cooking anything, you simply get a collection going and order a few dozen of those steak&cheese subs from that place we ordered from - man those things were awesome!!!
