Hey guys been having a problem with my helix basic system, for some reason the system has been shutting down. I have to unplug it then plug it back in , in
order for it to turn back on
isnt too much of a prob now in the summer but could pose a prob in the winter any idea what this might be

if nto mistaken, ken had that same problem. he ended up having to send the unit back to them for repairs.

I'd send the unit back to Helix. But I can tell you this: After sending the unit in, you will need to go ahead and buy another unit for replacement. After
8 months, a year or longer, after you've given up all hope of ever seeing the thing again, they will send it back repaired. Helix units are very nice
units, but the company never has been able to keep up with demand. Not even close. It almost seems as if the company is run like some kind of a part time hobby
rather than a business. I called about one of their 1500 watt units. They said it might take 8 months to start up production of that model. I got on some
kind of a list. That was several years ago. I've never quite been able to figure Helix out??
Others may have had better success and get faster service, but I know of several who have had the same luck with them as I have. Many of them have given up on Helix all together and will not do business with them again. Too bad, they really do make a great product. |

Which would be why I have Herpstats. Service is premium. I sent mine back for testing because of a problem and it was shipped back to me within the week. No
charge!

It's true, Roger died. Jeff runs the place as best as he can. Basics are not in production now and some new stuff is in the works.
Still the best thermo stuff out there even though I like my Herpstat things too--but they are far too linear for my my taste. Six months is nothing only if one year is nothing to you....
