Measuring length? |

Is measuring the shed skin a reliable method for measuring length? Also, the snake that shed was sold to me as male, but I do not see any sperm plugs at all on
the old skin. Is this normal?

i was wondering the exact same thing today (and yesterday) because chondros are so hard to measure without a tube. i think it's not reliable because the
skin will stretch when the snake is sheading but then again im not a snake expert. does anyone know?

Try http://www.serpwidgets.com/Apps/measure.html. This website will measure your snakes from a
picture as long as you have something with a unit of measure pictured with the snake.

No its not
You have to take almost a third of the total lenght OC |

Branon, that's a pretty neat tool. Thanks for posting it.

I've been using the snake measurer program for years. It's great. Sheds stretch from 10-20% more than the length of the snake. It's not an accurate
way to measure.
