pretty shady to start by identifying yourself as unaffiliated and then later admit to accepting payment for advertising! |

i was told I could have a 100 taken off my snake if I had anyone buy one from them and used my name. Nothing wrong with that!

Ross of Spruce Nubble has history here himself already. If you do a search you can see where he has participated at this forum. He has had problems getting
along in chinchilla forums as well as this one for his breeding practices and deceptive advertising. Ross imports green tree pythons, establishes them and
sells them. I'm sure he's hoping to breed some himself someday but in the meantime I don't think he's been successful. The problem lays not so
much in his animals as in the way he tries to hide that they are imports and hides behind the cb status. There is plenty of room for reputable
importer/brokers, let's just keep them honest about the animals source.
His one year guarantee is laughable, the amount of hoops you'd have to jump through to collect on it make it just as cheap to go ahead and buy farmed babies from another source for half the price and you're already ahead. If one of those should die you can purchase another for a couple hundred bucks rather than trying to get a replacement and trying to "prove" that there were no husbandry errors in the year you had it. Check out the BOI thread http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98227&highlight=spruce+nubble Ross is welcome to post here and has done so many times in the past. Do a search here for "Spruce Nubble" and you'll find some of the past threads where he was involved. It's just an honest crowd here, not necessarily a Lexus or Hyundai group..... we just keep trying to look out for each other and especially new people that are getting hooked on these chondros!!! I missed seeing your original post but FYI, I've dealt with several high end breeders that have given at least a $100 discount on repeat purchases when going back. They don't advertise or try to solicit discounts, it's just something they do quietly because it's a nice way to do business. |

Some might view this as the devils advocate, but in all actuality..it's just a neutral post with my opinions. Take it for what its worth. I can see both
sides of the thread.
I actually responded to this thread earlier on but decided not to post. My feelings are these: To each his/her own. If Taz is trying to help someone out, then so beit. His/her post is not forcing anyone to purchase from SNF...regardless of reputation and opinions. Whether he/she went about it the wrong or right way makes no difference, if you don't like it, then so what. Thats whats great about this forum...we can post what we want as long as its not offensive. Taz, you're new to the forum...welcome and stick around. Don't let one thread leave a bitter taste with you. We're a tight knit group here and the resonses to your original post were to educate you, not push you away. You'll soon find out that this forum is a little different than most. These people (most of them) really post from trial and error expereinces. This along with 2 other forums, I frequent for that reason alone. Having that said, if a post strikes a sensitive note with me then I voice it. But whether my view is accepted doesn't really matter...just putting my opinion out there. David and Cathy- You're exactly right. SNF does have a history here. His posts did cause a little disturbance...maybe its just the way he went about it (who knows). I haven't purchased from him before but have no problem with him. I have a simple opinion about buying from someone: If I like the animal, trust the seller, feel that the animal is healthy...then (in my opinion) it makes no difference where it came from. Very simple. Regardless of where he gets his animals...his record keeping makes up for it. Now on the side that I believe you're coming from...if I feel that a seller isn't representing his/her animals honestly, then I would have a defanate problem with them. |

Ross has already burned his bridges on this forum. He publicly ridiculed most of us, he privately threatened the life of some of us over email, threatened to
ruin our credit, cut off someone's penis and also sue the moderators. So yeah, not exactly the best friend to have for most people who had to deal with
him.
Oh, he also did the same thing in the chinchilla community, it was really amusing for quite some time. j
Live every week like it's shark week.

Thanks for not Hanging me out. and I appreciate the support, I had NO idea of the history here. I am pretty new to the whole blogging and chat
stuff. All I know is that they helped me out TONZ and have never not returned a call or email!
the male I have in my avitar is from them. just an FYI. So I am sorry that I have caused such a stir but now I am better for it! just need to keep a better eye on my horiscope!! Scorpio October 23 - November 21 A good tactic for you today would be to convert your fears into motivation for positive action. There is a great deal of energy at your disposal, dear Scorpio, so don't waste it. Be aware that this is one of those times in which the smallest comment or insult may set off a huge chain reaction of misinformation or battles. People are quite emotionally charged, so be careful where you step. |

To go back to the question about recognizing the name, yes it was Spruce Nubble almost a year ago. I have never bought any of their animals so I could not and
would not comment whether you should or not. If you have great success with them, thanks for letting us know. There may be a couple of personal opinions here
that conflict just from a personality base not from a product base knowledge.
And no, it's not against the rules. We don't really have to much rules around here. Free thought and opinion is encouraged. You may see healthy debate in other threads but it's just that- debate. Welcome to the forum. Try and get some pictures of your animals. Would love to see the collection. Nick |
