Any way to get a good guess as to whether a juvi might be male or female? Any typical behavior patterns that suggest one or the other?

i dont personally think you can really say for certain just by looking at the animals. in most cases ive experienced, at around a yr of age, males will start
going off feed, while the females just eat like pigs. thats one method. but thats not foolproof. ive been fooled in the past.

Convince yourself that it is a female... then it will definitely be a male. And, vice versa.

None of my males go off food, so that might not work either.....just have to be patient and either probe when they are large enough, or wait for a shed to see
if there's sperm plugs at some point.
