Hi guyz, i just joined this forum, which is nice. Now i have many experienced people to work with. Lemme introduce myself ^^

Lemme show you guyz my chondro. It's a male biak. Said to be 8 months of age (According to the seller), but i think he's much older than that. What do u guyz think?

Does he look like a biak to u guyz? What do u think of his age? 5 years?
Is it the size of a fully-grown biak? thought biak is the biggest of any localities and the most colorful. Guess mine's not that colorful heh ;p
Is he gonna go change color again later in his life? I'm really new to GTP

he does look like a biak to me, as for age its hard to tell just on size. it depends how it was kept, the temperature it was kept at, feeding and frequency,genetics, ect.... alll of these factors can affect the growth rate of snakes. by his size, he still has some growing to do. and as for color, there will always be variation with a local, with some animals being more colorful then others. i have two biaks, one is almost a "mono-tone" green. my other has close to a 50/50% ratio of yellow and green, with a blue pattern with white spots sprinkled here and there.

Hope he can grow bigger as the time goes by. What actually does play role in GTP's color other than genes and locality? Does humidity and temperature also play in GTP's color?

He just ate the day before yesterday which made me really glad. I was worried for the last 3 weeks since i got him because he didn't wanna eat. Put a dead mouse and he didn't respond. Later (few days later) I tried to put live mouse under my observation, yet he didn't seem interested. So I tried to grab a live mouse to "tease feeding" him. First time he didn't respond as usual, but since i kept bothering him, i think i made him mad enough to strike at the mouse, and he hold the mouse. YAY !!!! What a wonderful day i just had !!!! ;p
And luckily my GTP didn't feel bothered when i took a close look at him when he was swallowing the mouse. ^^

O yeah, His name is Orochi ^^

beautiful biak evan! welcome to the forum. as far as does humidity and temp play a role in colors? absolutely not. they just play a factor in the well being of the animal.

sony is right, the temp and humidity will not effect to phenotypic appearence of the animal. it is the local and the combination genes he inherited from his parents, this will detremine the color and pattern that he will have.
