Man! *wipes sweat from brow* I have been working on these bad boys for the last two weeks and they are finally
starting to look like cages. This is my second 3-stack of GM style cages and everyone that I make just seems to look that much better. This time around I used
branches I got from Manzanita. Andrew Kelly recommended them to me a while back and so far I couldn't be happier with the way they look. No major bubbling
problems with the con-tact paper using my Alcohol method. The real test will be once I get them up and running with humidity addedto them. They should be
finished and in use by the end of the month. I will update with pictures soon. Enjoy!

Damn dude, if you were closer I would be trying to get you to build me some!!! haha They look top notch man... What brand of contact paper are you using on the
inside? And what's this "alcohol" method? I haven't heard of this before but sounds interesting

Those look great Dan... Having the tools sure makes things, is more challenging the right phrase? lol
Making your own cages and having them turn out really nice is a great feeling, especially after you get the animal inside... Great job... Dans very own Pimp My Cage business...

is that MDF tends to trap and hold oxygen molecules in it, especially if it
was made recently. This is what I was told by the guy who supplies my wood at least. He told me that when I sponge off my wood right before I apply the contact
paper, use rubbing alcohol. So I dilute it to an 80:20 mixture, alcohol being the 80. I wipe off each piece of wood and let it sit overnight. The alcohol
supposedly traps the oxygen bubbles and helps to quickly release them out of the wood. I am no chemist and I'm not sure if what he told me is even entirely
true but the results speak for them selves.
