Well, I dropped off two boxes of snakes to be shipped today and was very unpleasantly surprised by the bill I got. I ship all my stuff Delta Dash because I
like the same day delivery aspect and always hated the thought of an animal sitting in a warehouse overnight somewhere in Memphis.
But, effective today (May 1st), Delta raised their prices significantly. A normal package with one or two snakes would normally run about $80. The prices have gone up to a whopping $105 per package. I walked out of there having spent $211 to send two shipments. I could not believe it. So, as a heads up to anyone who has already worked a deal, but not yet shipped, beware when you drop off your animals. At this price, I think we are going to be forced to find alternatives.
I know that this is a hot issue for many people and the lines are pretty clear. I have actually never had a problem shipping Delta Dash at all, but this price increase will definitely have me looking for other alternatives.
