I probably could have saved the almost 300.00 by trying to re-insert myself, but I have more confidence in the vet than myself to do it the right way.

Hoping for the best Kim. That's a hot chondro.
That brings up a good point - in my current prolapse saga, the chondro was in a glass cage less than three feet away from the desk where I worked the entire day, perfectly draped, and I probably glanced at it 20 times between 8 am and 4 pm. About 4 pm it shifted a bit and I could see a glimpse of pink tissue, but by then 8 more hours of drying had passed that could have been prevented had it been apparent at 8 am. But you can't unwrap every chondro every day to check....frustrating. |

Mine was not coiled right on the branch when she prolapsed. Her tail partially hung off the branch. I check more than once a day-usually 3 or 4 times!

Kim, I am right with you ... | ||

I look in on them about twice a day at least, but for sure that ... always check to see if I see anything amiss in the "nether area", because I am a
bit paranoid about those thing! I don't have a lot of confidence in my abilities with a proplapse, either, so I would surely have gone your route!!!! Hope
she is recovering well, and you are doing O.K. too!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. If it is possible for a snake to feel sad, then that is how my girlie is feeling now. Poor thing is totally exhausted.
I hope your Chondro makes a complete recovery, Cleve. It really is frustrating Kim "Wow, that is a hot snake, I would definitely hit that."
