Well, I figure I better pipe in here at some point..
I want to make a few things clear though! 1) I am not Co-hosting Chondrofest... I have nothing to do with it other than providing the Venue of Reptile Gardens.
(my son is the smaller of the two) So stop emailing me about details...send them to Chris Dunlap 2) Shiavino prepays me in beer for not liking it when I "creep on him" 3) All Chondro Coalition folks will be in attendance. 4) and I highly recommend people stay for as long as they can as there are amazing things to do here in the Summer! All I am going to do is give everyone a pass to come and go as they please to and from Reptile Gardens during their stay. I would be happy to do an 'after hours' behind the scenes tour if anyone is interested. This could include: Feeding the Collection for all to watch. We could Wrestle alligators
Gus the Gator and I with my wife looking on in the window reflection
Get up close and personal with "Tank" the Tortoise
We could have a late night "snake-handling 101" for those intersted in a better understanding of snake-handling
and a few oppurtunities for a quality understanding of snake envenomings
Andrew says our collection is Insane...It's o.k. IMO we do have a few interesting pythons though.
The Croc - The Myth - The Legend of Maniac
There be Dragons
Even a few Birds for all you creepy people
The Black Hills are incredible in June!
you can even watch people pee off a cliff...
The fishing and lakes are fantastic!
The streams are clear
Great Motorcycle riding!
The Caves are some of the largest and coolest in the world
The museums are world class! and free...
You can even play some VolleyBall -- If you like.
Mount Rushmore is spectacular in June!
The Sunsets are even better...
And the Camraderie is unbeatable... As seen in this picture! (somehow makes me think of Bigsnakes after the party if she can get her man to let her out of the house for a 12 hour drive)
And if thats not enough...there will always be Me sorry, only family portrait I have on my computer LOL
and My Family
Plus One He kinda looks like Curious George huh?
Well, thats it. Shows over now. T- EDIT: Hey Chris Dunlap, I think when we swithed over to Yuku your link was broken to the original thread (search for chondro fest 2008 or 2009) and you can find the original one...you should fix it on the other forums that you put this on... Make sense? lol Terry

Important Update | ||
|
UPDATE: Due to the ever increasing gas prices and what appears to me as a lack of
interest, this years AAG will have no speakers. This is something I did not want to do but I feel that it will make the event better as there is so much to do
at Reptile Gardens and in and around Rapid City. If you planning to attend AAG this year I hope you still do, it is going to be a great event and it's a
great way to meet and hang out with people from our community.
Since this does change how everything was planned out for AAG I will post a finalized plan on Monday March 31st. Thank you and I'm sorry if this has caused anyone any inconvenience. |

Chris,
Actually this might be for the best. People can hang out and drink beer of course, and just see and go places together! Good job with planning this and keeping everyone updated on whats going to go on! Sony |

if this is still happening, I'm getting to the time frame where I need to report to the 'powers that be' how many might be attending.
If you are confident that you will attend, please send me an email at terry@reptilegardens.com I need to have at least a good idea of how many will be here for a tour at Reptile Gardens on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Best Regards, Terry Phillip |

Here's the what is with the get together in June at RG:
There will be an ice breaker on Friday evening at the hotel. I have a conference room reserved and there will be a cash bar there with a keg of beer that I will be providing for everyones (21 and older) enjoyment. Saturday feel free to explore Rapid City as there are many things to be seen and to be done. Bear Country is right next to RG and is something we can all do as a group; and possibly get a behind the scenes look; if we wanted too. If there are a good number of us that show up to this event we can grill out in RG and just eat there. If it isn't that big of a gathering there is a local brewery (or other places) we can eat at. After that we can hang out and get a behind the scenes tour of RG. Sunday.... go to Deadwood? There is no fee to attend the event. Everyone please feel free to show up and enjoy yourself. There will be a fee to attend RG but that has not been disclosed to me as of yet. Hotel Info: La Quinta in Rapid City, SD The rooms are $93 a night and there are two different types of rooms. One room has two beds with a fridge and microwave the other type of room is a king size bed with a microwave and fridge. The hotel has an attached indoor water park, arcade, bar and restaurant. Use the room code: Annual Arboreal Gathering Airport Info: Rapid City Regional Airport Please let me know if anyone has any questions. Thank you.

I'd like to know too lol...
Carrie S. was the only person that responded to me asking the same thing so I could get our Chef to cater the event. So she will be the only one here or else the only one who gets to eat and drink that day.... Again, if anyone is planning on attending they need to respond to terry@reptilegardens.com T- |
