Ya thats sucks but in a way its good to congregate all the GTP people in one place.....

Yeah, it does suck, however, I agree with Safari here. We can all congregate together now and lose that "us" vs. "them" feeling that still
sometimes lingers. I had talked to Greg S about migrating the archives over to MVF but according to YUKU, this isn't possible. I'm slowly working on
archiving all the posts on the main two forums and I will then keep the board open as a reference only board. Unfortunately, we lost a LOT of excellent,
informative posts back a few years ago with ezboard crashed but I still think the remaining categorized archive could be useful. Hopefully we can link to it
from MVF. According to YUKU, that's the only way to save anything on the forum.

Kim & Greg - to both you you - is there any way to preserve or migrate the Chondro Gallery from CF? I liked the locale and designer types that were posted
there and I think there is value to a page similar to that on this forum.
Just a thought. Andrew |

well is there anyways possible we can spruce up this forum? not that there is anything wrong with this forum, but i just think that a little remodeling or over
haul could be a nice little change. just my 2 cents.

I second Andrew's idea about the "Chondro Gallery" page. It's a great place for referance and ideas...

There is no way to migrate those Gallery posts over here according to YUKU. I see two choices...we either bug Greg to start up a new one here or I leave that
one open on the forum as a reference. I think it would be better to start a new one up here. I'll leave that up to Greg to decide.

ChondroWeb.com itself has been down for what seems like years now and I have my doubts that will change anytime soon. That is a frustrating story that I
won't get started on. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I decided to close the forum down for various reasons, including wanting to see the chondro
community all together rather than on two forums. CF had its glory days but I think it's time for us all to hang together on one chondro-specific forum.
Wouldn't you agree?

Chondroweb Closing | ||

This is not directed at anyone in particular, but I'm not at all surprised that CW is going away.
CW began as an exciting forum with great intentions, but quickly evolved into an over-moderated, highly edited place where I was not comfortable posting. I don't think I'm alone in my evaluation either, as after all; CW is going away. (In the past 2+ years, I probably visited CW less than 15 times) However without Chondroweb, Greg Schroeder might not have had the motivation to create the MVF! So thank you Chondroweb for creating a place where chondroheads could read an opinion, but more importantly, thank you Greg S! For creating a place where chondroheads could have an opinion. Dramatic Exit: Picture me wrapped in a tattered loin cloth, (muscles bulging) at the helm of a large ship yelling the following: "Long live MVF and IHerp !!!!" Thank you, Geonardo DiCaprio |

Gary, it's an attitude exactly like yours that is one of the big reasons for the ending of the ChondroForum. We all share a common bond of our love for
chondros and everything associated with them and it's beyond time that something was done to end the "us vs. them" attitude which has existed
from before either I or my wife (who inherited the job of running the Chondroweb Forum, as it was known) first learned of the forums. It's been an ugly
side of the Chondro Community that neither of us has enjoyed or tried to perpetuate in any way. We have met numerous people who have exclusively frequented one
or the other of the two forums and have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with all of them. Past issues (however they were created) aside, we all share a deep
passion for these amazing creatures and, in my opinion, there is no room for such divisiveness. It makes sense for there to be a singular, main "chondro
hangout," so to speak. That can't truly happen with the two forums operating.
Maybe if you had visited and posted on the ChondroForum within the last two years you might have found it to not be the same place that initially drove you away. I think Kimberly, Kim and Aaron did a great job in their time there. Still, it doesn't change the fact that while the two forums existed there would always be some of the old animosity, and aren't we more about chondros than the other stuff? Gary, if we ever meet I look forward to getting to know you and talking chondros with you, along with everyone else here should I have the pleasure of meeting you all. Here's to a united (I hope) Chondro Community! Cheers, Christian |
