Hello, my name is Cathy and I'm a chondroholic. I am a lifelong southern California girl but it was much more likely to find me playing in the local
riverbeds rather than the beach while growing up. Playing with dolls was NOT my thing, give me a mud puddle or places to explore and that would make me a happy
girl!! Hmm... still works for me!
Have been married to Don since 1976, 2 grown kids and 6 grandkids! Life is good!! In the early 70's with one of my early exotics... generic red tail boa and the first snake I ever owned. Was never allowed to keep the ones we found as kids. 
At a friends house playing with his balls.... 
and a fairly recent one of me with one of my locals....

Sadly I shaved my beard, but I did polyurethane it first then shave it so I can put it back on when you are around. Oh, for some reason I really attract the bromance, you may recognize these two heehaws... 
Johnny Blue and Rico being, well Johnny Blue and Rico. Bob, Amanda and Aqila (my girlfriend) can be probably empathize with each other about dating a Boston sports fan. She knew after the super bowl it was best to not talk to me for a couple days. She also knows that Tom Brady is way better than Peyton and Eli. She knows who Tony C was and why I take my hat off when I get off the Mass Pike and through the Ted Williams Tunnel. j PS Hey Jurgen.....I'm from Boston, where the f*ck is Holland?

At any rate.... I live in Atlanta w/ my 13 year old lab mix and a bunch of snakes. I work at a local nature center (www.autreymill.org) and play in a local band (www.abyssonline.net). Wow...two shameless plugs in one post. Here is me and my very inebriated siblings on little sister's 21st.

I guess I'll chime in as well. Yeah Ben, I thought we did this not too long ago as well.
"Hi, my name is Andrew"................(audience all together) "hello Andrew"......................"I'm a chondrohlic..................." ok, enough of that. I live in Austin and am surrounded by (I'm tempted Ken)...............lots of Texas chondro heads. Austin is a great place if you don't like the cold and after a couple weeks of winter - which is about all we get, I am ready for spring. I work for a technology giant, travel a lot, love photography, and happen to love chondros.

hey eric,
those are freaking sweet. i filled out all my permit for florida and went in front of the board in tallahassee. i hope to her back from them soon. i want to start a breeding program in the stat of florida that i would be able to give back to learning facilities, and schools. between the zoo's, amusement parks, etc...around me there are 3 and no one has tried to pair them up. i think that i have talked to you before, but if not shoot me a PM so i can get your info. i have a breeding pair awaiting my permits in cali, but you might be able to help me out as well. more information i have the better. hear that florida is softening its laws now if they would only do something about habitat destruction then we would really have something here. please feel

I'm from the great (albeit underrated) state of Alabama. I'm 35 and have kept herps for close to 30 years now (damn, now I really feel old). My main
herp interests are pythons in general (except the big monster species) and emerald tree boas, although it seems I have kept just about everything at one time
or another. The biggest portion of my collection and my first reptilian "love" is comprised of chondros, but I also keep groups of 5 other python
species. My current token legged critter is an Argentine Snake-neck Turtle. Snake breeding is full of highs and lows... some days make you feel like you are
on top of the world, and the next you get a reality check reminding you that you are not as in control as you thought you were.
In addition to my snake room, you are likely to find me at Widespread Panic shows across the country (pushing close to 100 shows attended since 1989), rock and bluegrass festivals, Auburn University football games, bird hunting (pheasant, dove, quail, duck... if it flies, it dies!), playing with guns, grilling out, drinking ice cold beer, and chasing around my 18 month old son. Between my day job running commercial construction projects, maintaining the collection, and being a dad, it is often difficult to find time for anything else. At least the snakes keep me at home and out of trouble! Disco Party w/ the Mrs.
