Out of 5 good eggs that my female Sipperly tricolor laid........only one baby survived. Total was 3 reds and 2 yellow. The other four emerged from their eggs
but every time I would check on them I would find another one out of the egg but dead with it's ambilical cord wrapped around itself. Here is the only
survivor of the clutch.....it is already feeding so at least I have something. Eddy Brown

It's a beautiful baby!! I hate losing them after hatching, sorry to hear you lost so many that way. I am wondering, did you pip your eggs?

Thanks for the comments everyone. Cathy.... I did manually pip the eggs on day 51. I incubated them at a constant 87.2 degrees. I believe if I had left them to
their own devices that they would have pipped on their own by day 52-53 and I also believe that had I NOT manually pipped them that I would now have 5 live
hatchlings rather than1. Eddy Brown

shoulda coulda woulda. dont dwell on what you could have done, enjoy what you do have. that little guy is a smoker for sure cant wait to see what that little one develops into .great blood |
