Andrew Aman's Cyclops x Merauke offspring..... |
Lead | |
|
Wanted to share a picture I took this morning of my Andrew Aman's Cyclops x Merauke offspring. All remaining maroon scales have turned black, which is
real cool! He/she has not finished color changing. I beleive others may have more maroon speckling than mine does at this stage, so....they may be in for a
real treat. Enjoy.....

Hey Ken, that thing is really neat. I remember when we speculated that there may be some melanistic traits hiding in that highland animal. Really cool.
Here is mine. A little behind yours in terms of changing, but, as you can see, it looks like it will be displaying some nice mite phasing as well. Would love to see others................ Andrew

Hey Joe,
My yellow holdback has not started to change at all. The only thing different is that it is a whole lot bigger. I have a friend here who has another, and his has not begun to change either. I think the yellow ones will take some time, but my guess is, once they start to change, the change process will happen very quick. Shiloh - you just need to call Ken and get the recipe for the high protein diet he is feeding his animal. I heard he gives his animals three meals a day! Andrew |

Very nice pics guys. Wow Ken that thing turned green quick. It was still a maroon color last week
when I was there. Can't wait to see what they look like when they're all grown up. Paul |

"Shiloh - you just need to call Ken and get the recipe for the high protein diet he is feeding his animal. I heard he gives his animals three meals a

I heard from a very reliable source, Ken feeds all his snakes 3 times a day and sometimes if they are really good they get second breakfast... I swear, some of those Lord of The Rings fans take it to the extreme...

OK Guys....just stop it, I believe you' all (Texas Talk) are just jealous of my great rat/mice contact (ha). Still have not really figured out whether
color change is a function of size or age, IMO....it seems to be a combination and indiviudal specific trait. But, since I have not had a prolape, then the
feeding four times a day will keep.....did I say four times (ha). Honesty, my husbandry practice does lend itself to feed close to 2 or 3 times a week, depends
on the indiviudal neonate/juvi and the prey item size, to each there own.
Since the maroons out of Andrew Aman's clutch are displaying black with the remaining red scales, wouldn't it be a kicker if the yellows out of that clutch take on their father's traits, showing more blue, which goes against our general trend of thinking....I guess time will tell. Darn Chondros, I guess that is why they are so fun to keep! Ken Diehl San Antonio |

Ken grew up in the shire eating 4 meals a day, to include second breakfast... I was googling his name earlier and found his high school picture...
Just look at those feet... Eating 4 square meals a day puts hair it ain't supposed to be... lol

Sorry to bring up an old post, but my maroon holdback from this Cyclops clutch has changed already. It is amazing what these things can do in the span of
just a few days. This is the same animal I posted above, just 6 days ago. Check this out.

Wow Andrew...these critters are looking better and better as time passes, Shiloh is in for a real treat with his serpent being a slow changer, but....what

I have a red one that has changed very little except for a overall lightening from maroon to orange. I will try to get some updated pics soon. Lately, it
seems like I haven't got time to do anything!
