Just after first week of keeping this two chondros together I saw some breeding actions! This morning, I looked at terrarium and this is what I saw! For the first time in my life. I am so happy to see this even though I know I am still on the first step towards producing chondro babies. Now I have to wait for ovulation, then incubation and after all done good I can be happy if babies hatch!

this is the boy, Flap

She is 3 years old Aru and he is 6 years old Biak. Both are CB from Europe!

Congrats!!! That's awesome! I'm jealous that you have a 3 year old that's big enough to breed....my 4 year old isn't even close to breeding weight yet!

Hey Jurgen,

I didn't go for pure Aru breeding cos I know what I will get with it. This is much more interesting! This pairing will produce babies that will need more time to get their adult coloration. You know I am sucker for yellow so I hope I will get some HY chondros from this pairing if all goes well. I plan to keep them all if I get any babies from this. My goal now is to produce some HY... that is why I have this Biak male, Kafiau female and that HY Biak outcross female which is bluish green that you liked.
In future I will go for pure local pairings, Aru, Biak and Kafiau.... and also I will have HY projects always!!
You know how lucky I was when I saw them copulating!? <3

Donna,
I think this rack won't be rotten soon cos all edges are covered with silicone and no water can go into wood... This is my opinion and time will tell who is right.
Well I gave my best at this moment! It looks really good and I am really interested what will be the time when this rack will "expire".
By the time it will be rotten I will probably have more space in my house and then I will order LANZO HERP CAGES for all my collection. Till then... I will enjoy in this!

How exciting for you! I hope it's not too late for my 1st try at breeding also. Is 1100g heavy enough for my female Aru? Is that Wacy Wood I see in your cages? Cool stuff! Good luck with the rest!

Owwww.... 1100grams is really heavy! You can breed her for sure. My female is around 900grams and I have breed her. I think it is quite normal to breed at this weight cos some females never get more then that! I have HY Biak outcross female and I think she will be huge as adult. I think around 2000grams will be her final weight! For this Aru female I have breed I think she won't go more then 1300grams.
About terra, I am not sure what would be english word for this wood!!hahaha so I can't tell is that Wacy wood!But it is cool.
Thanx for all good wishes to all of you. I really hope she will get pregnant! They are not copulating any more so I just have to hope she was locked up with him for real when I saw them!I keep my fingers crossed!!!
