Thanks everyone for the photo compliments. It's a hand held up-close shot taken with a Canon wide angle zoom L lens and not a macro.
Cathy and for those that have never had the opportunity to enjoy "fresh" not previously frozen King Crab, you honestly owe it to yourselves ....it is Best of Show! And now for my version of Working On the Edge - Surviving in the World's Most Dangerous Profession.....here we are enjoying what else?....fresh King Crab aboard the 72 ft Alaskan crabber, the Steller, of Glacier Bay. So we're exploring the Outer Coast of West Chichigof-Yakobi Islands....the next land mass beyond the island chain to the left is Japan. So I ask the Captain, "How much gas do we have in the tank"? And he replies calmly, "A quarter tank". Hmmmmm...is that good, or bad I wonder. So I ask him, "How far can we get on a quarter tank of fuel"? Chewing on a tooth pick he replies, "From here to Japan and half way back, or three trips to Seattle and back". Plenty of fuel I said to myself...... Anyway, here we are Richy
