Flash shot of pair.........

female developing follicles.......

....ovulation......

and eggs!

These are tiny eggs and I was hoping for a smaller clutch with bigger eggs but I will not complain.
She laid nineteen eggs with one having a bad spot of poor calcification but still fertile.
All the eggs show very large embryos and very strong vascular growth so let the waiting begin!

Congrats on the clutch! And enjoy the countdown to ecstasy! So I wonder why folks (myself included) are noting smaller than normal sized eggs of late?

Richy, I know with this female it was her size and weight going into cycling.
She is one of those smaller girls that can be 1000 grams one week and 850+ the next but never holding or breaking the 1000 gram mark.

Greg, I am always noticing peoples' set-ups ... you have water IN the egg containers ... I will have to see if that is helpful for me, IF I ever get any more eggs!!! I had it in the egg BOX, but not in the actual egg containers ... I will do things YOUR way next time!! And small or no, those look very nice, and I sure am excited to see them hatch! BEST of luck!!!

Yeah last year I used the inner egg box like GM, in fact the boxes in the pic above are the same he uses from container store.
This year I just went with out the inner box and spread out the eggs to manage the clutches embryo heat.
Seem to be working pretty good so far I am on day 48 with my 1st clutch and hope to be looking at little red critters in next
couple days.
