Thanks a lot everyone and to Lexi for bringing up this old thread--it pisses off Mendez and that's always a good thing He backed out of a MxS neonate trade for one of his incredibly unlikely hets and has been sulking for a year or more.

Here are some new pics and some links to the background on the animal and pairing that produced him. No solid plans have been made yet on whom to pair him with but I am bugging a few folks with ideas now. Two pairings going well right now related to Soho and partially aimed at expressing the trait are: Moken x Grace (full sib) and Moken x Ecuador (she's clutchmate to Scarab--both were maroons btw). Scarab struck a perch one night a few months after laying the clutch and snapped her back and died so I cannot repeat the pairing and she was easily the best looking Old Yellar x Blue Dragon Lady animal I am aware of, so blood-wise the very green Ecuador is as close as I am gonna get to the MxS pairing.

Needless two month update.....

I took some recent pics and it seems that a little more gold is popping up. I have also come to know that very few people actually believed me early on about this animal and never let me know it.....in some ways it is very polite of them to let me yammer on thinking I am being heard but also it makes me suspect to everything else I have yammered on about (that's a LOT btw) that I am just getting the "smile and nod" all too often....
