My 3 1/2 year old daughter's class has a project going in in which they are waiting for some praying mantis to hatch. This morning her and I looked up assorted types of mantis. She suggested typing in "purple" mantis and I thought there wouldn't be one. It was cool to find there is a purple mantis. I kept searching and was amazed by the beauty and variety in these guys.
