This is my first time posting on this forum though I have visited many times to drool over the amazing chondros posted on this board. I have been keeping various herps for almost 20 years with my main interest being boas and pythons. I have successfully bred Coastal Carpets and Ball Pythons and this year is my first attempt at breeding my pair of GTPs. I bought my female, Killer, as a yearling Biak type from Ben Seigel and I have had her for about 5 years now. My male, Scarface - he actually has a small scar on his face, was picked up over a year ago from my local herp shop where I get my feeders. I don't have any background info on him but he is a looker. They seem to be a pretty compatible pair and I witnessed several cops this season. Killer had a huge ovulation and based on when she had her pre-lay shed I knew there was a chance she would lay when I was away for a couple days.

Well I came home today from a long weekend family trip and found my girl wrapped around a nice clutch of 24 eggs.


There was 1 dud in the clutch, but the other 23 appear good and all have visible viens when candled. My only concern is that they look a little dehydrated because they could have been laid a day or two before I came home. Do I have to do anything special or will these eggs recover on their own now that they are in their egg box?
