I've been toying with switching to Delta Dash but decided not to with the considerable price increase. Now all I can think of is going with Fed Ex. Does anyone know how to become certified to ship reptiles with them?

Fed Ex? |

I shipped an animal off today through DHL and found out that they've changed all their policies to where they don't really ship anything thats of any
value. They seem to have an excuse for not covering anything other than paper....they even neglect to cover time-sensitive documents. Seriously, I was so
surprised when the "NEW LIST" was presented to me of what they would not cover. Anything with a pulse is out, along with important documents, food,
fragile objects....ect.

I know Rico just got certified to ship Fed Ex. That's how my next addition from him is coming as soon as I pay it off. I would shoot him a email or message and ask him. He has always been there for me whenever I have any questions. |

I would ask Gary, he had the extension # for a guy named Rodderick Coffman and he helped me become certified. I haven't had any problems shipping with
Fed-Ex.

(I believe we all owe Meg a "thank you" for this contact
Hopefully he's still here, but his name is: Rod Coffman. 1(800)786-4621 x8319 rod.coffman@fedex.com Rod was a HUGE help in setting me up. All the best! Gary |

I called that number today and it was no longer in service. The main FedEx number did not have a listing for Mr. Coffman. I set up an account with a regular
account rep. However, I am still waiting for an account executive to call me back. According to the person I talked to, approval from an account executive is
required for shipping reptiles. I'll post if I find out anything else of value. Incidentally, this is different information that what I received a month
ago. Seems like anytime you call a big company like FedEx about something slightly out of the ordinary, you get at least as many different answers as the
number of people you talk to. I have been fairly satisfied with the animals I have received via FedEx so will continue to pursue the account setup.

I called the number also but it gave me a secondary number to call and I added the extention given. I reached Mr. Coffman's voice mail so he does still
work there. I'll let you know how it goes.

Reptster is in the process of setting up a system that will offer discounted shipping through FedEx. All you have to do to become certified to ship FedEx through Reptster is watch a 4 min video. No more trying to find contacts, no more test boxes. Could be very, very cool!

Rod will help you. Just e-mail him and he should get in touch with you ASAP. He's been a big help to everyone I've referred to him. And all without
getting anything out of it. He's a super nice guy. I do ask that if he does give you a hand, that you find out who his manager is (I have a name, but
don't know if it's a current boss) and let him know how Rod helped you. I like to give kudos where they are due.

Thanks Meg | ||

For the record, many folks have given me credit for referring them to Rod and FedEx, but in all honesty, without Meg I'd probably still be shipping Delta.
I should have given her credit much sooner, but for the life of me, I could not recall who it was who referred me to Rod. (Give me a break ....I'm 40 years old. I don't even remember what I had for breakfast this morning) Thanks again Meg!!! Gary |

I didn't have a contact and went through the process as normal. They were very helpful with me today and set up an account for me. I'm going to be
sending out my test package soon. I can provide names of who helped me but I think it depends on your zip code.

Jeff, I too am in the process with Fed Ex, and went the same route as you did...I will be sending my box out soon as well....I actually started the process 6
months ago and just recently picked it up again to finish the certification....They are actually pretty cool about the whole thing...the only trouble I have
heard is sending a package with an actual live animal, that some people behind the counter don't know that Fed Ex delivers live animals and they refuse
it....we will see I guess....we'll cross that bridge when we come to it...
