I wanted to get some opinoins about the sire of the clutch I posted recently. Mant commented on how he looked like a biak type and I would be happy with
that. Although he has many biak charateristics such as a fierce disposition, yellow face mask, and a long pointy tail. He also has some traits that I am
unfamiliar with in biak type chondros, such as a faint blue vertabral stripe with triangles similar to those found on sorongs, a rather stout and rounded nose,
and a much more defined color change as opposed to the blotchy and faded color change seen in many biaks. This is why I am turning to the experts in an effort
to try and identify the cool little dude.
Here are some photos in cronological order to show his color change as well as some physical characteristics.
This photo is from april 2007 about to weeks after I brought him home
A couple weeks later
A couple months later, and the blue vertabral stripe is becoming more visible exccept to my camera...LOL
This was taken a couple weeks ago and the blue stripe is eluding my camera but it is more visable than the photo from a couple months ago.
I would love to hear from everyone as to whether he is a cut and dry biak or something else like a mix locale perhaps.

he actually reminds me of the original gläser animals, biak X sorong, although he might just be a hot biak, there's just no way to say for sure
the blue triangles aren't tipical sorong but more of a wamena look, anyway it's a hot male did that sound gay? well I don't really care anyway Jurgen.

Could be a Biak oc, but I am going to say stright Biak. From the color change photos I gather he was a yellow baby (could be wrong) and I have notice in
yellow biak babies that there markings tend to go very light blue/gray with age. The markings are never as intense as say a Sorong, but in some cases, like
your male, they are more pronounced. I could be 100% wrong but it is just my 2 cents. Plus he just looks Biakish. AND HE DAMN SURE IS HOT!

I'll agree with the biak influence.. it's obvious from the first color change picture you have - and even more in the last shots.
Could be a nice speciment - could be a mix.. noone will ever know I guess. A nice chondro either way. |

I say biak influence, but definitely not pure biak (in the classical phenotypical form)... It reminds me a little bit of Jack Sadovnik's old snake, Mango

i say its a mutt. has a great deal of biak influence, but definately not pure......imo of course! regardless of what it is, it is one fine chondro!

Great looking animal. I would say Biak/Sorong...Wamena. Definately more Biak though. Hot looking animal. Where are the clutch photos?

i have a biak male that looks just like him, a little more green. he came from bushmaster so i am very sure that he is a "pure" biak. mine was born
in 2003, i dont know if they were crossing locals then or not.
either way biak or oc, it is an amazing snake!
