I have a 4 year old adult who has become a very picky eater. This just stared happening over the last few months. I thought maybe I had a male and this was
just the start of the fasting behavior, but the other day I had Ben Siegel do the probing, and he assures me it is female. She is active most nights cruising
the cage, but doesn't show much interest in food. I've been trying F/T med rats, small rats, & large mice. She sometimes seems like she might go
for it, but after a few tongue flicks she backs off. I usually try for 30 minutes or so, heating the head, moving it fast, or trying slow, sometimes poking
her with to try and get a strike. The last meal was a sm. rat about 3 weeks ago, and weeks before that was a mouse. Is this just normal behavior for a mature
female? It's never been an issue before this year. How often should I be trying to feed her until she takes something? Help!
