My volume doesn't work on my Imac G5, on the keyboard or system preferences or whatever. Under the volume level bars there is a circle with a line through
it. Can someone help me?
Thanks,
Tyrone

Found this on the net:
The problem seems to have something to do with having headphones or an external speaker plugged into the 'phones jack and then shutting down the machine. The next time you boot up you might find that your internal speakers are dead. The solution: plug a pair of speakers of headphones into the 'phones jack, then restart. Unplug the device right after the machine has finished booting up. The speakers should work. I don't know if this is temporary or not, but it just worked for me. |
