The background: I love that my job includes teaching kids about how technology can benefit wildlife. We've been working on a semester long Eastern box turtle tracking project with the entire class of 60 6th graders from a local middle school. It's taken up a lot more time than expected but it's been rewarding, despite the fact that one of our turtles was run over by construction in the surrounding area.
