been said before, two is better than none. Rock on Cathy.

Today I do have an update..... and it's good!! I just kept it set up in baby tub and figured I'd wait and see what happened. I haven't removed the
baby from the perch to visually examine, but there was a gross little blob in his water dish which had to have been this tissue.

This clutch was my last of the year, and was probably one of the most frustrating ever. I lost an egg every few days throughout the entire incubation it
seemed. Out of 25 apparently good looking eggs...

As Mr. Scroggins so wisely did, I will qualify my statements by saying that I am merely a vet tech and really only see baby snakes this young in my own
collection. The tissue distal to the 90 degree angle looks like umbilicus to me. I can't tell for sure from the photo but the proximal part looks
consistent with umbilicus as well. Internal organs, in my limited experience, are usually less rigid than what appears to be in the photo and, depending on the
organ itself, a different color. I...

Man that sucks, good luck with that incredible looking critter. On a side note, the biak girl i got from your just laid 12 good eggs, 1 good yet poorly shaped
egg and 3 slugs. She had me guessing on when she might lay, i guess no one ever told her she was suppose to have a prelay shed, so she skipped it. Hopefully
she will make a full recovery and take a year off.

I would consider re-insterting and could use a "steri-strip" to close it up if it's a viable option. Am keeping tissue moist until I make
decision here. Also... will use CO2 first before freezer if necessary if that winds up being the way to go.

What a bummer Cathy. Have you considered trying to re-insert it and stitch it? You could stitch it with very light weight test fishing line. Just be sure to
sterilize it first. Medical grade tape might work too, but I'd opt for the fishing line if possible.

I admit, I'm no vet (in case jjrraass is watching) but that is what I'd try if I couldn't get it to a proper vet. Good luck if you try it.
