			<description><![CDATA[ Cervical dislocation is by far the quickest and easiest method.  I&#39;m sure the gas method is very effective and painless also, but I am not set up for
anything like that.  It took some practice, but a friend taught me how to do it easily and effectively with no blood.  I hold the mouse or rat by the tail and
swing it to my knee cap, being careful to make sure the back of the head or base of the neck hits precisely on my bone(knee cap).  It is almost 100% effective.

			<description><![CDATA[ Cervical dislocation(clean break of the skull away from the neck), or C02 gas. I typically(but its rare that I have to kill a live rodent) use the first
option. Place mouse/rat on flat hard surface, hold by base of tail, place pencil/dowel/something similar at the back of the skull, press downwards hard and
give a fast firm jerk on the tail. If you do it right, there should be barely a twitch. ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ As a labratory animal technician I deal with euthanizing mice on a daily basis. For this reason I have the availablity of more methods than the average
basement breeder, but I agree that CO2 and cervical dislocation are the best, and really should be the only, methods for euthanasia in adult mice. Cervical
dislocation is very effective, but it takes practice. Also, like Tine mentioned, make sure grab the mouse by the base of the tail to avoid pulling the skin

			<description><![CDATA[ CO2 is the fastest and most humane if you don&#39;t put too much in too fast. The rats and mice I kill with it are unconscious in under 30 seconds and dead in
3 minutes. You can easily make CO2 chambers. Otherwise, I&#39;ve dispatched injured rodents by smacking their heads against a hard surface. ]]></description>
