I had one egg last year that developed white mold, and didn't make it. The white mold was somewhat moist, and tight to the egg like peach fuzz. It
started showing up around the second week, and the egg crashed around week 4.

This year I have one that is already developing mold the first week into incubation. This mold is dark green and is longer and thinner like fur or hair.

I was able to wipe off the mold with a dry paper towel. I left the egg in the deli cup with 5 others, but...

I'll second the foot powder I have used it on quite a few ball python eggs and it works very well. I wipe off the mold and then coat the egg in powder and
it seems to work. I know GTP eggs are quite a bit more delicate but it may be worth a try. All of the eggs I have used it on were boob eggs but I assume it
would work just as well on normally formed eggs.

I do not have any pics. The white hairy mold didn't return. The green powdery mold was growing on a wet spot. I removed the mold with a q-tip and
wasn't very careful initially and I spread some of the juicy stuff under the mold on other parts of the egg, which caused the mold to spread. Once I
realized my mistake I was able to keep the mold in check. I removed the egg fom the incubator weekly and applied fresh anti fungal powder.

The green mold was present in very small amounts...

Hey Buddy

Do you happen to have any pics? After using the foot powder did the mold go away and say away or was it a constant battle? Was there still mold present when
the eggs hatched?

Ben

I have used anti fungal foot powder on chondro eggs that have developed white and green mold. The white mold looked like picture G.S. posted, and the green
mold was powdery. I removed the mold with a q-tip and applied the powder with another q-tip. Both eggs survived.
Best of Luck

I wish you the best with your mold condition. It's tricky at times. Motion of air may help reduce mold generation. Here's some general
observation if it's of interest.

At times the egg can be dead and then develop mold to give the impression the mold killed the egg. Often this mold develops first on top of the embryo. At
other times some eggs are just easy to mold and die perhaps due to thin egg shells or another condition. Mold isn't good and always nice to...

Hey Ben,

The mold will probably grow back, but what I have used in the past is some rubbing alcohol on a q-tip and rub it on the spot of the mold. It has worked well
for me in the best.

Best of luck with your clutch!
