Lot of animals you saw there,Papua is way more difficult to spot animals.
Except birds of paradise,they make enough noise..

The lizard against the tree is a draco volans , or flying lizard.

Hey, you guys are great. Thanks SO much for all the compliments. It is great that so many of you love this kind of stuff. Photography is a passion of mine and so is the natural outdoors, so this was like being a kid in a candy store.

I have to say, the trip was incredible. I go to Thailand quite a bit, since my wife is Thai. But, the country is so incredibly beautiful, I try to explore as much as possible.

Btw, the snake you identified as a pope's pit viper looks like a species of cat snake, not sure on the species off the top of my head. Maybe a Boiga sp.?? I'm too lazy to look into it right now lol

With a backhoe destroying one neighbors garage and concrete slab, another neighbor that is moving (and freaking out about a box that someone dismantled - since last night) and a severely painful abscessed tooth that has me near to tears I thought today would only contain misery. This post has lifted my spirits a bit. Thanks for that. Great photos!

That first fisheye tree shot is perfect .. nice work there, well worth the effort of changing lenses.

I'm not sure how I'd react to seeing monkeys and elephants on the road. Part of me would think "nature is amazing" and the other part of me would think "man, that's dinner for like a year"

I just got back from a great vacation to Thailand, spending most of the time visiting my wife's family. Had a great time. One of the highlights was my wife and I spending a few days at Khao Yai National Park, in the central northeast part of the country.
