Need any help I can find, with the fourth of july weekend I cannot find any vets. My female has a rectal prolapse, I have no idea what to do, I've heard
you can "push" it in. I really don't want to loose her. This happened last night right after she defected and I didn't notice it until this
morning. I'm really desperate for any help, maybe even a step by step pictorial on how to do it right, if anyone knows of any sources. Thank you for any
help in advance!

you can put a low perch in the plastic tub with her and she will hang her tail down in the water. Sugar paste is just a water and sugar mixture. You put a
couple table spoons of sugar and add a little bit of water and stir it up. it will be a very gloopy and globby mix. Spoon it on the prolapse and then add prep
h or ky. My biak had to go a couple days without treatment because i couldnt find a herp vet near me. When i found one he said their wasnt much dead tissue at
all because i kept it...

I put some table sugar in there, i'm not sure what sugar paste means, I guess a supersaturated solution of sugar in water? She looks really uncomfortable
inside the shallow water, every time I open the lid to check, she tries to escape as fast as possible. I'll put some preparation H in the morning and see
how it goes from there, maybe I will put some ky jelly in the afternoon on it and try to push it in.

The biggest concern is that the tissue dried out overnight when you didn't notice it. This can lead to necrosis and the tissue will have to be removed. If
the tissue is in fact viable then it can be replaced and the animal should recover. When my female prolapsed (a small one) I immediately put her in some very
shallow water with a sugar paste. Preparation H can also be used to help shrink the tissues safely. My snake's prolapse reduced on it's own but as soon
as she perched at...

Ok I put her in a 5 gal bucket with shallow water in it, I'll add some table sugar later. I'm reading another a question from an iherp page and a few
people have recommended preparation H, seems like it's a substitute for the sugar paste and does the same thing. Looks like I'll be making a trip to
wal-mart.

ok if your not experienced dont try to push it in, now i dont know to much about this and probably someone wiht more experience might help you more, but for
what i have heard, it is best to move the chondro to a plastic tub with a shallow amount of clean water in it, use just enough to keep the tub floor and the
prolapsed tissue wet, make a thick paste of powdered or granular sugar and water, and apply this paste directly to the swollen tissue, using an eyedropper or a
